Pixel 10 Series Color Options Leak: Bold Names, Subtle Shades
As we near the expected August 20 launch of the Google Pixel 10 lineup, a new leak has spilled the full color selection for all upcoming models – and it’s a curious mix of the expressive and the understated. According to the leak, the regular Pixel 10 will come in four colorways: Ultra Blue, Limoncello, Iris, and Midnight. Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will be available in Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, and Smoky Green. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is getting the fewest options – just Sterling Gray and Smoky Green.
Let’s break down the palette:
- Midnight replaces the traditional Obsidian as the darkest tone, though it’s described more like a deep gray than true black.
- Ultra Blue aims to evoke a bold royal blue feel, possibly paying homage to the OG Pixel’s blue variant.
- Iris returns from the Pixel 9a with its soft lavender hue.
- Limoncello, a mid-tone yellow, is a new addition – whatever “mid-tone” is supposed to mean.
- Light Porcelain softens the off-white trend a little more, while Sterling Gray serves as a muted, business-like silver.
- Smoky Green adds a darker, forest-inspired touch.
Google continues its tradition of giving expressive and even whimsical names to its color choices, but some fans are left wondering if that’s enough. Many long for the return of the iconic “Panda” edition (white with a black camera bar) or a standard true black option. Others view these changes as pure marketing – changing shades just enough to be ‘new’ each year.
Beyond colors, some are voicing concerns about what’s not being discussed – performance specs. Questions linger about whether the new phones will offer flagship-level cameras, faster charging, and modern chipsets. After all, flashy names won’t hide middling hardware.
For now, the devices are expected to run Android 16 out of the box, with pre-orders likely starting August 20 and full availability from August 28. Until Google confirms the specs and design at launch, we’ll be left with leaks – and opinions – to color our expectations.
