Google Confirms the Pixel 10 Launch Date and New Preview Ahead of August Release

Google has officially revealed the much-anticipated launch date for the Pixel 10 lineup, with the release set for August 20. Media invites shared by the tech giant have confirmed the date, and fans can look forward to an exciting event, where Google will also unveil other new devices, including the latest Pixel earbuds and a revamped smartwatch. This year’s Pixel 10 launch falls almost exactly a year after the release of the Pixel 9, further solidifying Google’s regular schedule for its flagship smartphones.

While we’re still waiting for the full details, an exclusive preview video posted on Google’s store page shows that the Pixel 10 will maintain a similar design to its predecessor. Expect the familiar rounded display and pill-shaped camera bump that fans have come to love. Despite the comparable look, inside the Pixel 10 is rumored to feature the upgraded Tensor G5 chip, a larger battery, and a third rear camera, giving it the potential for better performance and versatility.

The big question for many fans will be the differences between the standard Pixel 10 and the Pixel 10 Pro models. Historically, Google has reserved some of its most impressive features for the Pro version, and this year might be no different. For those eagerly awaiting more than just a refresh, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may offer a new foldable experience, though it’s expected to be more of an incremental update than a complete redesign. The Pixel Watch 4 will also make an appearance, bringing minor upgrades to its design, but not a radical overhaul.

If you’re in the market for new wireless earbuds, Google has also promised to introduce new Pixel Buds, which will surely appeal to those who want to complete their Pixel ecosystem.

Pricing details for the Pixel 10 family are still under wraps, leaving the door open for speculation. With the ongoing global tariffs and economic challenges, it remains to be seen how much the Pixel 10 will cost. For those thinking about upgrading, the big question remains: is it worth it or should you wait for the Pixel 11?
