Google is shaking things up this year by holding its Made by Google 2025 event on August 20, well ahead of its usual fall schedule.
This surprise move means we’ll see the launch of the Pixel 10 series, Pixel Watch 4, and the all-new Tensor G5 chip a full month before Apple unveils its iPhone 17 lineup.
In another major change, the event is relocating from Mountain View, California to New York City, where selected media will get hands-on time with the devices. For everyone else, the event will be streamed live on YouTube starting at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
The headline reveals will include the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Accompanying these smartphones is the refreshed Pixel Watch 4, expected to offer smarter health tracking and tighter integration with Android.
One of the most anticipated upgrades is the Tensor G5 chip. Unlike previous versions made by Samsung, this new chip is being produced by TSMC, which should bring serious improvements in performance and power efficiency. Still, comparisons with Apple’s A19 Pro and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite will reveal just how much of a leap it truly is.
Google has also teased updates to its Pixel Buds and hinted at more product announcements during the event. While hardware will take center stage, insiders expect big moves in AI and software, possibly reshaping the Pixel ecosystem entirely.
Whether you’re a fan of clean Android, a photography nerd, or just into new tech, this August event is one to watch closely. Stay tuned for full coverage and hot takes right after the keynote.
