Honor launched its Magic V Flip back in June of last year, and if you’re a fan of the brand, you’re probably eagerly awaiting the next iteration. Rumors have surfaced from China, suggesting that the successor is almost here, with an official launch expected in August.
While it’s not a massive leap in terms of features, there are still a few notable upgrades to look forward to.
The new Magic V Flip 2 will feature a 6.8-inch FHD+ LTPO folding OLED screen, along with a 4-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED cover display, much like its predecessor. In the camera department, it will stick with a dual-lens setup, including a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.5″ sensor, similar to the original V Flip.
Under the hood, the Magic V Flip 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 series chipset (though it’s not the Elite variant), which should provide a noticeable performance boost. One of the more exciting upgrades is the battery, with a 5,500 mAh capacity supporting either 66W or 80W wired charging-something that will definitely be appreciated by users who need their devices to last longer.
Overall, this new model is shaping up to be a solid refresh rather than a major overhaul. The most significant changes are the new chipset and the improved battery, but it still looks like a great choice for fans of the Magic V Flip series.
