Honor is making waves once again, this time with the upcoming release of the Magic V5. As rumors swirl, it seems that Honor is skipping over the Magic V4, likely due to tetraphobia (fear of the number 4), and jumping straight to the V5. The biggest news? The Magic V5 will come in a flashy new gold colorway, which is making a comeback in smartphone design after years of being sidelined. 
Gold used to be the must-have luxury color, and though it fell out of favor for a while, it’s returning with a bang.
In addition to the shiny gold, the Honor Magic V5 will be available in three other color options: black, white, and Dunhuang. The latter, interestingly enough, is named after a city in China, adding a touch of cultural flair to the phone’s palette.
But it’s not just about looks. Leaked specs suggest the Magic V5 will feature a 6,100 mAh battery, supporting 66W wired charging, and a super slim profile under 9 mm-likely reclaiming the title of the thinnest foldable from the Oppo Find N5. Under the hood, the Magic V5 will pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera. Its displays are equally impressive: an 8-inch folding screen and a 6.45-inch cover display. This phone is shaping up to be a serious contender in the high-end foldable space.
