Honor Pad GT2 Pro Debuts with Flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Blazing 165Hz Display

Honor has officially launched the Honor Pad GT2 Pro, the next-gen gaming tablet that builds on last year’s Pad GT Pro.

Packed with upgrades, the GT2 Pro pushes boundaries in both performance and visuals, making it one of the most powerful Android tablets currently announced.

The star of the show is the 165Hz refresh rate on its large 12.3-inch display – an increase from the 144Hz seen on its predecessor. Honor claims this panel can fully utilize that refresh rate, running games like CrossFire: Gunfight King at a silky 165fps. While the company labels the screen resolution as “3K,” it’s likely similar to the previous model’s 3000 x 1920 pixels.

Under the hood, there’s a big leap with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset – dropping the “s” variant for the full flagship experience. With up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, performance won’t be an issue whether you’re gaming, multitasking, or streaming.

Honor also upgraded the cooling system using advanced graphene thermal tech to handle intense gaming sessions. The battery has grown slightly to 10,100mAh, though charging speed is still unknown (last year’s model supported 66W).

Design-wise, the tablet remains impressively slim at 5.8mm and weighs 580g – a bit heavier than last year’s version but still portable. It’s available in two sleek colors: Ice Crystal White and Phantom Gray.

For immersive media, the GT2 Pro continues the use of 8 IMAX Enhanced speakers and integrates a responsive haptic engine for tactile feedback.

The Honor Pad GT2 Pro will go on sale in China on July 28, with early bird discounts available now on Honor’s official store.

  • 8GB + 128GB – ¥2,500 (early bird: ¥2,125)
  • 8GB + 256GB – ¥2,700 (early bird: ¥2,295)
  • 12GB + 256GB – ¥3,000 (early bird: ¥2,550)
  • 16GB + 512GB – ¥3,400 (early bird: ¥2,889)

If you’ve been waiting for a high-refresh, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered gaming slate, the Pad GT2 Pro might just be it.
