Honor X6c: A Budget Phone That Keeps It Simple – and Cheap
The budget smartphone race is heating up, and Honor is diving straight into the action with its upcoming device, the Honor X6c. While not yet officially unveiled, detailed leaks have revealed what to expect – and it’s looking like a solid contender for the price-conscious crowd.
The Honor X-series has always been known for delivering respectable performance without emptying your wallet, and the X6c continues that legacy. It might not break any design or tech boundaries, but it’s packing just enough features to turn heads in the ultra-competitive entry-level market.
According to the leaks, the Honor X6c will feature a 6.61-inch TFT LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate – impressive for its class – and a modest 1604 x 720 resolution. Under the hood, it’s powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset, paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and a roomy 256GB of storage.
The phone’s camera setup includes a 50MP main rear sensor accompanied by a simple QVGA secondary camera
. On the front, a 5MP selfie camera keeps things minimal. Powering all this is a 5,300mAh battery with 35W wired charging, which should provide enough juice for a full day and then some.
Running Magic OS 9.0 (based on Android 15), the phone also boasts an IP64 rating and a unique AI shortcut button – a small touch that sets it apart from its sibling, the Honor X7c. Compared to the X7c, the X6c has slightly dialed-back hardware but is expected to launch at an even more attractive price point – likely under €150.
If Honor nails the pricing, the X6c might become a go-to for those wanting style, solid specs, and long battery life on a budget.
