Huawei Pura 80 Series Set to Launch on June 11 with Major Camera Upgrades

Huawei has officially confirmed the launch date for its highly anticipated Pura 80 series smartphones. The unveiling is scheduled for June 11 at 2:30 PM (local time) in China.

This new lineup follows the Pura 70 series, which debuted in April last year-meaning Huawei has taken a bit more time this cycle, likely to pack in some serious innovation.

According to credible leaks, the extra development time went into refining the Pura 80 Ultra’s camera system. The Ultra model is rumored to feature a groundbreaking 1-inch main sensor with a variable aperture-possibly developed in-house by Huawei. It’s expected to be accompanied by a 50 MP ultrawide lens and a periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor.

The teaser image released by Huawei puts the spotlight firmly on photography, hinting that the camera will be the crown jewel of the series-especially for the Ultra variant. As for the rest of the specifications and features, Huawei plans to reveal all the details at the launch event, so stay tuned.

This launch could set a new benchmark in mobile photography, especially if the camera rumors hold true. With competition heating up, Huawei seems ready to reclaim some spotlight with the Pura 80 series.
