Hublot Big Bang MECA-10 Concrete Jungle: Brutalist Boldness Meets Haute Horology
Hublot has once again broken the mold—literally and metaphorically—with the launch of the Big Bang MECA-10 Concrete Jungle, a U.S.-exclusive timepiece that fuses brutalist architecture with high-end watchmaking. Known for pushing boundaries with unconventional materials—from recycled Nespresso pods to tennis jerseys—Hublot now takes on New York’s urban DNA in a way few would dare: with concrete.
This isn’t Hublot’s first flirtation with concrete. Starting in 2016, the brand introduced the concept with the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Concrete Jungle, and later evolved the idea with models like the Concrete Jungle New York and Concrete Sand.
But the new Concrete Jungle MECA-10 goes further. Instead of just a concrete bezel or dial, the case itself is a rugged blend of fine cement, epoxy resin, and fiberglass—engineered for wristwear, not sidewalks. It even includes UV and anti-graffiti treatments to keep it looking clean under the roughest conditions.
Under the concrete skin lies the heart of the MECA-10 series: the Caliber HUB1201. It’s a manual-wind movement with a massive 10-day power reserve (240 hours), operating at 21,600 vph. The exposed mechanics through the dual sapphire crystals give it the architectural aesthetic to match its brutalist materials
. Titanium is used where precision and durability matter most—caseback, screws, and crown—ensuring the structure stays solid without adding excessive weight.
It wears big and bold at 44mm wide and 15.3mm thick—dimensions shared with the recent Master of Sapphire models—but water resistance is capped at 50 meters due to the unique material. You get two strap options: a gritty gray fabric with Velcro and a black rubber strap, both easily swappable thanks to Hublot’s One-Click system.
Priced at $34,100 USD, it’s positioned as a collector’s statement piece—one that doesn’t promise precious metals or advanced performance materials like ceramic or carbon fiber. Instead, it offers an audacious conversation starter, a wrist-mounted tribute to NYC’s concrete heartbeat. It’s not for everyone—and Hublot knows that.
But that’s exactly the point. With a design ethos laser-focused on its niche audience, Hublot continues to make watches that spark reactions, debates, and yes, maybe even a little self-reflection among collectors.

Bro this watch is literally NYC in wrist form-loud, heavy, expensive, and unapologetic 💪🗽
Name’s a bit cringe tho… ‘Concrete Jungle’? Sounds like a bad 2000s rap album 😬
Still cheaper than Manhattan rent 😂
I always swear I’m done with Hublot, and then they drop something weird like this. Dang it, I kinda like it
It’s overpriced, but you’re not buying specs here-you’re buying a vibe
