Hyperkin Unveils the Drakong InfinaKore: A Next-Gen Guitar Controller for Every Platform

The plastic guitar revolution continues with Hyperkin unveiling the Drakong InfinaKore Telecaster Edition Guitar Controller, a bold new addition aimed squarely at fans of Fortnite Festival and classic rhythm games. Following the momentum of 2024’s PDP Riffmaster, this controller doubles down on versatility and longevity with support across multiple platforms, including Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS, and Android.

At first glance, the Drakong InfinaKore follows the familiar 5-fret layout of iconic plastic guitars like the CRKD Gibson Les Paul and Rock Band favorites.

However, Hyperkin isn’t content with nostalgia alone. This guitar is built for modern needs, complete with hot-swappable buttons for long-term durability and customization. Players can swap out worn parts instead of replacing the entire controller, a rare feature in today’s market.

Designed with Fortnite Festival‘s 2.2 million daily players in mind, the InfinaKore’s neck houses an additional set of four directional keys just above the tapping frets. These allow players to ‘strum’ using the arrow keys – a direct nod to Fortnite’s unique control scheme where the strum bar is mapped to the up and down arrows. No more awkward elbow strums when you miss a note!

The controller also features a dedicated Star Power button located near the strum bar, making it easier to trigger special modes if the traditional tilt sensor fails – a common frustration for rhythm gamers. Combined with its sleek design and thoughtful layout, the InfinaKore feels like a guitar built by players, for players.

While there’s no confirmed launch date or pricing details just yet, anticipation is already growing. Whether you’re shredding in Clone Hero, going retro with Guitar Hero, or chasing high scores in Fortnite Festival, the Drakong InfinaKore is shaping up to be the ultimate multi-platform axe.
