ILL Is a Brutal, Cinematic Survival Horror From Atomic Heart’s Publisher

Mundfish, the studio behind Atomic Heart, made waves at SGF 2025 with not one, but three major reveals. Among them was ILL, a gruesome and cinematic survival horror game developed by Team Clout, a Cyprus-based studio.

Published under the newly launched Mundfish Powerhouse label, ILL is a chilling first-person experience set in a mysterious research facility teeming with unspeakable horrors.

This isn’t just another horror shooter – it’s a full-blown sensory assault. With next-gen dismemberment mechanics, binaural audio, and physics so realistic they affect both gameplay and enemy behavior, ILL aims to evolve the survival horror genre. Expect to be surrounded by grotesque, ever-shifting enemies that react eerily like humans when shot, prodded, or manipulated by the environment.

Weapons feel heavy and authentic, with detailed animations and interactions. Inventory management isn’t just for neat freaks – it’s a matter of survival. Crafting and upgrading tools on the fly could mean the difference between life and becoming monster chow.

Team Clout’s cinematic flair is no accident – several team members have a background in horror films such as V/H/S/Beyond, Longlegs, IT: Welcome to Derry, and Azrael. That explains the game’s unnerving atmosphere and strong visual storytelling.

ILL doesn’t have a release date just yet, but it’s already available for wishlist on Steam. Mundfish CEO Robert Bagratuni praised the collaboration, stating that Powerhouse exists to support daring developers with bold visions. Judging by what we’ve seen, ILL lives up to that mission – and then some.
