Invincible Season 5 Confirmed by Prime Video – Season 4 to Premiere in 2026

Invincible is far from finished. Prime Video has officially renewed the animated superhero series for Season 5 – even before Season 4 has aired. While the upcoming fourth season won’t arrive until sometime in 2026, Amazon clearly has confidence in Robert Kirkman’s blood-soaked multiverse saga, greenlighting a fifth chapter ahead of time.

Fans still have no confirmed release date for Season 4, but its production is clearly moving forward – and that includes the addition of new talent. Matthew Rhys, best known for roles in Watchmen and The Americans, will join the voice cast for Season 5. Details about his character are still under wraps, though speculation is swirling about whether he could be voicing Grand Regent Thragg, the long-anticipated Viltrumite leader.

Warning: Season 3 spoilers ahead!

Season 3 ended in classic Invincible fashion – with violence, emotional wreckage, and a looming alien threat. After exploring alternate realities and deepening his bond with Atom Eve, Mark Grayson was thrust back into brutal reality when the fearsome Conquest arrived on Earth, setting the stage for an even bloodier future.

With Season 4 promising the arrival of Thragg, longtime fans of Kirkman’s comics are bracing for another emotional rollercoaster. Though the new season is still years away, voice recording has wrapped, and the team appears to be taking time to polish animation quality – something the fanbase has been vocal about.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to another expansion of the Invincible universe: the upcoming Invincible VS video game. Announced last month, the 3v3 tag-team fighter is also set to release in 2026, allowing players to control characters like Invincible, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Omni-Man, and more.

With big names joining the cast and future seasons already planned, Prime Video seems committed to letting Invincible keep punching through timelines – and expectations – for years to come.
