The iPhone 17 has leaked in more ways than one, including details on its colorways. Following the reveal of the iPhone 17 Air’s colors yesterday, today we get a look at the ‘vanilla’ iPhone 17’s possible options. While the regular model will offer a wider array of colors than its Air counterpart, we don’t have full renders for each hue just yet. Instead, we’ve spotted what appear to be replacement camera rings that suggest the five colors the iPhone 17 will likely be available in: blue, silver, black, green, and purple.
The transparent ring shown in the leak is not an indication of a transparent iPhone 17, but rather an option for those who prefer a transparent aesthetic on their device.
These are said to be the initial launch colors, although Apple may introduce additional shades as time goes on. In comparison, the iPhone 16 offered five colors as well-black, white, pink, teal, and ‘Ultramarine’-so the number of colors isn’t changing much, aside from the replacements.
In terms of specs, the iPhone 17 will be the most affordable option of the four models expected to drop this September. It will feature the A19 non-Pro chip and, like the previous generation, possibly stick with 8GB of RAM, despite the other models being upgraded to the A19 Pro chip and 12GB of RAM. However, it’s expected to have one more camera than the iPhone 17 Air, as well as a bigger battery, making it an attractive option for those on a budget who still want solid performance.
