Apple might finally be injecting some actual color into its upcoming iPhone 17 Pro models.
The new Pro lineup, expected to launch in September alongside the rest of the iPhone 17 family, could be Apple’s most vibrant flagship yet. A fresh leak reveals that in addition to design changes, the color palette is getting a major shake-up – and yes, it’s more than just another shade of titanium.
According to recent reports, Apple is going with color-matched lens covers for the whole iPhone 17 series. That’s right – the entire lineup, from the regular iPhone 17 to the new iPhone 17 Air and the high-end Pro models, will be dressed in new shades.
The standard iPhone 17 is rumored to arrive in Black, Grey, Light Green, Silver, Light Blue, and Light Purple. The Air model might show up in Black, Silver, Blue Grey, and Light Gold – subtle but classy.
But the real surprise lies with the Pro models. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to land in Black, Grey, Silver, Dark Blue, and – wait for it – Orange. Okay, it may actually be a rich copper or a deep gold, but it’s definitely a bold step away from the muted tones of the past. Fans who’ve been begging for a bit of personality in their Pro iPhones finally have something to get excited about.
Let’s be honest: the current iPhone 15 Pro lineup feels more like a grayscale Photoshop filter than a flagship release – with colors like Black Titanium, White Titanium, and Desert Titanium. The rumored orange/copper tone and the introduction of Dark Blue could inject some much-needed life into Apple’s premium aesthetic.
Color isn’t the only thing changing. The iPhone 17 Pro models might undergo the biggest redesign in years. Leaked dummy units and early renders hint at a completely reworked back panel, a noticeably larger camera bump, and a tweaked Apple logo placement. It’s a bold move, and not everyone’s on board yet. Some fans are already questioning the new design direction, especially the logo’s unusual location. Even die-hard Apple enthusiasts are crossing their fingers for a more polished final product.
Regardless of how the final design lands, one thing’s for sure: Apple is at least trying something different. And for a company often criticized for playing it safe, that’s a pretty big deal.
