iPhone 17 Pro: A Bold Redesign with a Massive Camera Island and New Apple Logo

The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to arrive this September, and it brings with it a significant redesign. The most striking feature is the rear camera island, which stretches across the entire width of the device, resembling a style we’ve seen in Poco phones in the past (though Poco has since moved away from this design). Recently leaked images of what appears to be an iPhone 17 Pro dummy unit have surfaced, offering a 1:1 scale representation of the final product.

While it doesn’t contain any electronics, it gives us a clear look at the new design, including that massive camera ‘visor’.

The camera layout seems identical to the one found in the iPhone 16 Pro, only now it’s housed within this larger island. Another rumored change is a shift to an aluminum frame, alongside the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which would mark the end of Apple’s experiments with stainless steel and titanium in the iPhone lineup.

The repositioned Apple logo on the back, now centered below the camera island, is bound to stir some controversy. It’s a bold new move, but only time will tell whether it will be embraced or criticized by the masses.
