iPhone 17 Pro Might Move Apple Logo and Introduce Full-Width Camera Bar

Speculation surrounding the iPhone 17 Pro redesign is gaining momentum, with fresh rumors suggesting a notable aesthetic shift.

The most striking change? Apple might move its iconic logo – something it hasn’t done since the iPhone 11.

According to well-known (but occasionally hit-or-miss) leaker Majin Bu, the new iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max could feature a significantly expanded camera island stretching across the top of the device. This design tweak may prompt Apple to reposition its logo to a lower, central spot on the back, just beneath the camera bar.

Bu claims this intel comes from a case manufacturer already working on accessories for the new models – a move that, while speculative, often foreshadows actual design changes. While shifting the logo isn’t exactly necessary from a technical standpoint, Apple has done similar adjustments in the past, notably centering the logo with the iPhone 11’s release.

If these leaks hold true, this would mark the first major visual overhaul of the camera system since the iPhone 11. While the triple-lens layout will reportedly stay on the left, the LiDAR sensor and flash might move to the right, forming a balanced camera bar that redefines the phone’s rear design.

Bu had previously teased the possibility of a vapor chamber cooling system debuting on the iPhone 17 Pro, though he’s since walked back that claim due to ongoing development challenges.

Still, Apple is famously secretive, so we might not get confirmation until the official reveal. But considering Apple’s need to stand out in a saturated market – especially with Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series expected to maintain its current design language – this might be the bold move Cupertino needs.

One thing’s for sure: if the logo does move and the camera island spans the entire width, the iPhone 17 Pro could easily be Apple’s most distinctive phone design in years.
