KILLER INN Closed Beta Test Announced for This Weekend on Steam

Square Enix and Tactic Studios have just revealed that their multiplayer murder mystery game, KILLER INN, will be hosting a Closed Beta Test (CBT) this weekend on Steam. The CBT kicks off on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 3 PM Pacific Time and will run until Monday, July 28, 2025, at 3 PM Pacific Time. Players can request access via the game’s Steam store page.

It’s important to note that this is primarily a test to check the server stability when a large number of players join simultaneously. As such, it won’t include all the features of the final release, like the full tutorials which will be available upon launch.

KILLER INN is an asymmetrical, competitive multiplayer game where players are split into two teams. The larger team, known as the Lambs, consists of 16 players, while the Wolves are a smaller group of 8 players. The goal is simple: eliminate the opposing team before they do the same to you. The twist is that the Wolves know who their teammates are from the start, but the Lambs don’t know which of their own team members are secretly Wolves.

When a Wolf kills a Lamb, a clue is left behind that could help the Lambs uncover the identities of the Wolves. Players must thoroughly investigate any corpses they come across to gather these crucial clues. Survival in this game isn’t just about uncovering secrets; players will need weapons and armor. These can be obtained by opening chests filled with tokens earned by completing tasks for the castle staff, or by saving up gold to buy gear from the in-game shop.
