King of the Hill Revival Brings Fresh Faces with New Cast Members

The beloved animated series King of the Hill is set to make a triumphant return to Arlen, Texas, in August 2025, with the premiere of its Season 14 revival. Fans will get a glimpse into the lives of Hank, Peggy, Bobby, and the rest of the Hill family, along with several fresh faces. The show promises to deliver both new guest stars and recast characters, while keeping the heart of the classic show intact.

Among the exciting additions to the cast is Keith David (known for his roles in The Princess and the Frog and The Thing), who will be voicing Brian Robertson. Brian is introduced as the individual renting out the Hill family’s home during a time jump between Seasons 13 and 14. Another notable guest star is Anthony ‘Critic’ Campos, who will voice Emilio, a chef working alongside Bobby at the Robata Chane restaurant in Dallas.

The time jump also brings a shift in the cast of familiar characters. The roles of Ted Wassanasong, Chane Wassanasong, and Joseph Gribble are being recast. Kenneth Choi (from The Wolf of Wall Street and Spider-Man: Homecoming) will replace Toby Huss as Ted, a Laotian businessman. Meanwhile, Ki Hong Lee (of The Maze Runner fame) will take over as Chane Wassanasong, Ted’s son. Together, they’ll team up with Bobby to run the Robata Chane restaurant.

The role of Joseph Gribble, Dale and Nancy’s grown-up son, will now be voiced by Tai Leclaire (known for his work on Headdress and Super Team Canada). This recast comes after Breckin Meyer, the original voice of Joseph, stepped away from the role.

As for the plot, Season 14 will explore the return of Hank and Peggy Hill after spending years in Saudi Arabia working in the propane business. They come back to a transformed Arlen to reconnect with their old friends, including Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is pursuing his culinary dreams in Dallas, living it up in his 20s with former classmates Connie, Joseph, and Chane.

The revival also comes with a bittersweet nod to the past. Some of the show’s most iconic voices will be credited posthumously, including Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale, and Jonathan Joss, who played Khan Souphanousinphone. These actors will be remembered in the new episodes, marking a touching tribute to their contributions.

Season 14 of King of the Hill is scheduled to hit Hulu on August 4, 2025. With new voice talent, fresh storylines, and beloved characters making their return, the revival is sure to capture the spirit of the original series while taking it into the future.
