LEGO Unveils Exciting Lord of the Rings Contest with Huge Prizes

LEGO has just announced an exciting new contest for fans of both LEGO and The Lord of the Rings. Running from June 23 to August 6, the LEGO Ideas contest invites participants to build their best birthday party scene set in the Shire, a peaceful and beloved location from J.R.R. Tolkien’s world. The theme of the contest is ‘A Night to Remember in the Shire,’ and LEGO encourages all builders to get creative and present their most clever ideas.

Entrants will have ample time to design and build their creations, with the submission deadline set for August 6 at 6AM EST. But don’t rush; you can make edits to your entry until August 7.

After the submissions are in, the contest enters the next phase: the LEGO expert review. LEGO experts will evaluate all entries and select the top five builds, which will move on to the next phase – the fan vote.

The fan vote will run from August 25 to September 8, where LEGO Ideas members will have one vote to cast, deciding who takes home the top prize. The winner will be announced on September 22, coincidentally, the birthday of Bilbo Baggins. And while the bragging rights of winning this contest are valuable enough, the prizes are even more enticing.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive some of the most intricate and rare LEGO Lord of the Rings sets, including Rivendell and the Shire, along with other exclusive items. Two Runners-Up will also receive incredible prizes, and the remaining finalists will get their hands on LEGO sets from the famous franchise. Fans can even track their builds throughout the contest, as LEGO shares updates on the ongoing progress of sets like Rivendell and the upcoming Balrog Book Nook.

If you’re interested in joining, now is the time to start building! With the chance to win impressive sets and show off your creativity, it’s a contest that any LEGO and Lord of the Rings fan will want to be part of.
