Lies of P: Overture, the upcoming DLC expansion for the acclaimed soulslike action game, has seemingly leaked ahead of its official reveal.
The trailer, which surfaced online through Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), strongly suggests that the DLC will be shadow-dropped this weekend-possibly timed with one of the big Summer Game Fest events.
While there’s still some speculation over whether the trailer will debut at the main Summer Game Fest showcase or during the Xbox showcase on Sunday, the leaked footage opens with the Xbox logo and ends with a focus on Xbox platforms. This heavily implies the announcement might be slotted for Sunday’s presentation.
This leak isn’t exactly shocking. There have been rumblings for weeks, including recent speculation that the DLC would launch alongside the rumored Nintendo Switch 2. More realistically, the development team had previously stated it would launch in summer 2025-making a surprise weekend drop quite plausible.
Interestingly, this wouldn’t be the first time Lies of P content took center stage at an Xbox event. If the rumors pan out, this would mark the second major leak for Xbox’s weekend showcase, with a Persona 4 Remake also allegedly queued for reveal.
For now, fans just have to sit tight and see where and when the official trailer drops. But all signs point to one thing: Geppetto’s secrets are coming sooner than expected.
