Little Nightmares III Revealed: Release Date, Enhanced Edition, VR Game, and More

Bandai Namco hosted an exciting Little Nightmares Showcase today, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! While we were expecting the main focus to be the highly anticipated Little Nightmares III, with gameplay and a confirmed release date, the showcase revealed a lot more than fans anticipated.

The big news was that Little Nightmares III is set to release on October 10, 2025 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Fans got a glimpse of gameplay from the eerie Carnevale level, and it was confirmed that the game will also be available on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

But wait, there’s more! Alongside the third installment, Bandai announced a remaster of the original game, Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition. Arriving on the same date as the third game, this remaster promises enhanced visuals with 4K resolution and 60 FPS, better graphics, ray-traced reflections, faster loading times, revised checkpoints, and even new assistance mechanics.

Interestingly, players who pre-order any edition of Little Nightmares III will gain immediate access to this enhanced edition, despite it not being available for individual purchase until October. However, this announcement comes with mixed feelings from fans, as the enhanced edition of Little Nightmares II was free for existing owners, which is not the case here.

The surprises didn’t stop there. A brand new Little Nightmares VR game titled Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes was teased with a brief trailer, leaving fans eagerly awaiting more details. In addition to that, we also learned about a new audio podcast, The Sounds of Little Nightmares, a comic series called Little Nightmares: Descent to Nowhere, and a novel titled Little Nightmares: The Lonely Ones.

To top it all off, there was a mysterious teaser for a sixth project in the Little Nightmares universe, possibly hinting at a stop-motion film or a TV adaptation. This teaser left fans wondering if this could be the next big thing for the franchise. Stay tuned, as we’ll surely hear more about this in the coming months!
