Bandai Namco has revealed that the highly anticipated Little Nightmares Showcase will take place on June 24, 2025, at 12pm PST / 5pm EST / 8pm BST. The announcement came via a brief post on the official Little Nightmares III Twitter account, which featured a short video clip displaying the date and time of the event along with the cryptic caption: ‘Something unsettling is coming. It’s closer than you think.
Are you ready to face it, little ones?’
While Bandai Namco hasn’t shared many details about the showcase, it’s safe to assume that it will feature significant updates about Little Nightmares III, the next chapter in the series. Although the game was initially slated for release last year, it was delayed and is now expected to launch in 2025. Although the official release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, a listing on Target (discovered by Gameranx) suggests the game could be released on September 15, 2025. We’ll find out next week whether that rumor holds up.
This showcase is especially noteworthy as it marks the first game in the series not developed by the original creators, Tarsier Studios. Instead, Supermassive Games has taken the reins, and while early footage has shown that the game will remain quite faithful to the atmosphere and mechanics established by Tarsier, Supermassive is likely to add their unique touch to the experience. According to Francesco De Meo of Wccftech, who previewed the game at Gamescom 2024, ‘there was no doubt that I was playing a Little Nightmares game.’ From the gameplay to the eerie atmosphere, everything felt like a continuation of the franchise fans know and love.
One notable change is that Little Nightmares III will introduce weapons for the characters, which is a first for the series. However, we can expect even more surprises to be revealed during the showcase, even if the core elements of the game remain true to the Little Nightmares formula.
