Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is making headlines with new filming plans that reveal a familiar location from a past MCU movie. The request to film has been submitted to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in the UK, asking for permission to build a set at Windsor Great Park this August.
While Marvel has kept most of the details under wraps, the request includes the name of a location that fans will recognize from the Thunderbolts film.
Marvel’s plans suggest they intend to recreate Annie Reynolds’ House, a key setting from Thunderbolts and the childhood home of Robert “Bob” Reynolds, the character who later becomes Sentry and his darker alter ego, The Void. The house was featured in flashbacks showing Bob’s troubled upbringing, including scenes set in the attic that gave a glimpse into his mind. This location could serve as the setting for further exploration into Bob’s psyche in Avengers: Doomsday, especially since Sentry’s return was confirmed after the events of Thunderbolts.
Given that Bob’s journey has already been complicated by his struggle with his powers and The Void’s dark influence, fans are wondering if we’ll see more of The Void in Avengers: Doomsday. Despite the set only being requested for a one-day shoot in August, Marvel’s request for 10 weeks of access hints that a major construction project is in the works, possibly setting up a large set that could feature heavily in the upcoming movie.
This isn’t the first time that Reynolds’ home has surfaced in relation to Avengers: Doomsday, with plans apparently discovered by a TikTok user who managed to gain access to Marvel’s film set last month. With the release dates for both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars delayed to December 2026 and 2027, fans are eagerly speculating on how these developments will fit into the larger MCU storyline.
Recently, Marvel also shot a fake ending for Thunderbolts, misleading fans with a different title than The New Avengers – a move that adds more mystery to the already cryptic plans surrounding these upcoming films. Stay tuned for more details!
