Marvel’s Samurai Venom: A Bold New Twist on the Iconic Antihero

Marvel Comics has just dropped an exciting reveal for the upcoming Venom: Black, White & Blood #3, and it’s definitely a big one! Fans of Takashi Okazaki, the creative mind behind the popular anime Afro Samurai, will be thrilled to know that he is bringing a new spin on Venom with the introduction of Samurai Venom.

Yes, you read that right! Samurai Venom will make his debut in this anthology-style comic series that, like its predecessors, is rendered in black, white, and red tones.

This isn’t just a one-off character either. Okazaki has created an exclusive variant cover for issue #3, giving fans a sneak peek at this brand new take on the iconic antihero. The creative lineup for this issue is nothing short of impressive, with contributions from Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki, Ant-Man actor David Dastmalchian, and talented artists like Philip Tan, Damian Couceiro, and Kevin Eastman, co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Alongside the debut of Samurai Venom, Venom: Black, White & Blood #3 also explores a brand new Venom story set in the early days of Eddie Brock’s symbiote career. In addition, there’s a compelling “What If?” style tale from Carl Potts and Damian Couceiro, imagining what might have happened if Peter Parker had taken a more violent path and became Venom himself. But perhaps the most unique story of all is the one where Takashi Okazaki imagines Venom in ancient Japan, facing off against a Crimson Carnage!

The issue promises to bring some high-octane, creative storytelling with the kind of visual impact fans have come to expect from this unique series. As always, it’s all in black, white, and red, making every page pop with intensity. And with the main cover by Kevin Eastman, there’s no shortage of nostalgic comic book greatness on display!

Mark your calendars, because Venom: Black, White & Blood #3 hits stores on October 29th!
