Motorola Edge (2025) Launches in the US and Canada: Here’s What You Get

Motorola Edge (2025) Officially Launches in the US and Canada with Impressive Specs

The Motorola Edge (2025) has officially landed in North America as promised, becoming available in the US and Canada starting June 5. The phone is priced at $549.99 in the United States, where it’s available in the sleek Deep Forest color on Motorola’s official website and at Best Buy. Amazon is also expected to join in shortly. Carrier availability will follow in the coming months through T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Total Wireless, Visible, Spectrum, and Xfinity Mobile.

In Canada, the Edge (2025) retails for CAD 849.99, also exclusively in Deep Forest. Currently, Canadian buyers can find it only through Motorola’s online store. The model comes in a single configuration with 256GB of storage.

Despite the lack of Snapdragon branding, the Edge (2025) packs a punch with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra. While some purists still long for Snapdragon silicon, the Dimensity series has matured to become a genuine competitor, offering flagship-like performance without inflating the price. This shift gives consumers more choice and helps keep costs manageable.

The phone features a stunning 6.7-inch 1220×2712 P-OLED display with a silky smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a blazing 4,500-nit peak brightness-ideal for outdoor use. Accompanying the chipset is 8GB of RAM, ensuring fluid multitasking and app performance.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the triple camera setup: a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 10 MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, and a 50 MP ultrawide shooter with autofocus. The front camera is equally impressive at 50 MP, making it a strong choice for selfies and video calls.

The 5,200 mAh battery promises all-day usage and supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The Edge (2025) ships with Android 15 out of the box, which gives it an edge (pun intended) in longevity and updates compared to many budget competitors.

While the naming convention might raise eyebrows – especially when compared to the likes of the Edge 60, Edge 60 Pro, and Edge 60 Fusion – Motorola seems to be testing a more straightforward year-based label. It might not clarify the lineup at first glance, but the value proposition is clear: flagship-tier specs at a mid-range price point.

For users who want solid hardware and clean software without paying flagship prices, the Motorola Edge (2025) could be one of the best carrier deals of the year – especially for those who can snag it through promotional pricing.
