Motorola’s 2025 lineup is proving to be a standout, with the Razr+ 2025 joining the ranks of the Ultra and Vanilla models. While it’s exclusive to North America, unlike its siblings, this device is no slouch when it comes to performance and design.
The Razr+ sits comfortably in the middle of the pack, offering a solid upgrade over the standard Razr 2025 while being more affordable than the Ultra.
One of the key improvements here is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, providing a noticeable boost in performance compared to the regular Razr
. With 12GB of RAM (compared to the 8GB of the regular model), the Razr+ is built for smoother multitasking and gaming. While it doesn’t boast an ultrawide camera like the Ultra, it makes up for it with a powerful 50MP camera and a 2x optical zoom, offering a lot more flexibility in photography.
The display setup also sees some improvements. The inner display now boasts a 165Hz refresh rate, making it ultra-smooth for gaming and scrolling. The cover screen, now at 4 inches (up from 3.6 inches), provides more space for notifications and quick interactions. However, one downside is the slightly smaller 4,000mAh battery, which is a step down from the 4,500mAh and 4,700mAh batteries found in the Vanilla and Ultra models, respectively.
The Razr+ comes in several eye-catching colors like Mocha Mousse, Hot Pink, Peach Fuzz, Spring Green, and Midnight Blue. While you can only get the device in a 12GB/256GB configuration, the overall design more than makes up for the lack of variety. The leather-like finish on the back feels fantastic in hand, and the hinge is perfectly calibrated, offering a satisfying and sturdy feel when opening and closing the phone.
Motorola also shines with its approach to Android. The software experience is clean and polished, with well-scaled visuals that offer a smooth, pixel-perfect experience. That said, there is one issue: the display is initially set to a Neutral color profile by default, which can feel a bit dull and desaturated. Fortunately, switching to Vivid mode fixes this issue and brings the screen to life. Interestingly, the regular Razr 2025 ships with Vivid mode enabled by default.
All things considered, the Razr+ 2025 is a fantastic option for those looking for a balance of performance, design, and affordability in the foldable smartphone market. Stay tuned for our full review, where we’ll dive deeper into the device’s performance and user experience.

Anyone else notice the Neutral mode on the display is way too washed out? Glad it’s easy to fix, though. 🙄
