During the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, EVR Studio, a talented Korean developer, unveiled their upcoming game, MUDANG: Two Hearts. The game presents an intriguing scenario: what if North and South Korea reunited as one nation, and just as a bill for unification was about to be signed, a terrorist group attacked the South Korean National Assembly?

The game introduces players to two protagonists with vastly different backgrounds.

First, there’s Ji Jeongtae, an elite North Korean special forces operative who battles through enemy lines in search of the truth. Then, there’s GAVI, a K-pop idol constantly under surveillance, whose involvement in a dangerous conspiracy will prove pivotal. These two characters provide distinct gameplay experiences, each with their own unique narrative path, which eventually converge into one shocking and unsettling revelation.

The gameplay itself offers immense freedom, with an open-ended level design that allows players to choose their approach to missions. Whether you prefer stealth, environmental takedowns, or intense close-quarters combat (CQC), MUDANG has plenty of options for players to explore. You can also use an array of gadgets like EMPs, goggles, grenades, and mines, while also wielding a variety of firearms.

One of the standout features of the game is the AI, which adapts dynamically to the player’s actions in real time. Enemies will organize search parties when they detect suspicious activity, such as the sound of footsteps or the sight of fallen comrades. Combat becomes even more intense as they work together to flank and overwhelm the player.

MUDANG: Two Hearts will also feature seamless cutscenes, where the story is shaped by your choices, and bosses that will test your combat skills to the limit. The game is set to launch in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X, and it’s definitely one to keep an eye on for fans of stealth-action games.
