The new Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm “Enjoy Life” Special Edition is here to add a refreshing scoop of fun to your wrist. Designed with a spirit of joy and nostalgia, this limited-edition chronograph blends Swiss precision with pastel ice cream tones to remind us all to lighten up and savor the moment – literally and metaphorically.
Why ice cream? Because it’s universally loved, instantly comforting, and – just like a good watch – tied to some of life’s most memorable moments. According to NORQAIN CEO Ben Küffer, this edition exists to embody positivity and spark joy. “Every NORQAIN timepiece is built with passion, but the ‘Enjoy Life’ is special – it’s a tribute to the inner child in all of us,” Küffer explains. “That little ice cream icon in the date window isn’t just a cute touch. It’s a reminder to not take everything so seriously and to indulge now and then.”
The watch itself is based on the beloved Freedom 60 Chrono platform
. With a classically sized 40mm stainless-steel case, diamond-cut indices, and Super-LumiNova hands, it offers both everyday versatility and visual charm. The true star, however, is the pastel tri-color subdial layout inspired by ice cream flavors – minty green, strawberry pink, and sky blue. 
Matching hues decorate the outer dial sectors, bringing a sunny playfulness to the wrist.
And in true feel-good fashion, the date window doesn’t just track time. On five magical days each month – the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th – it displays a tiny illustrated ice cream cone instead of a number. It’s cheeky. It’s charming. It’s just enough of a nudge to treat yourself, whether to gelato or just a good time.
Underneath the sprinkles and pastel, the watch still means business. It’s powered by NORQAIN’s Calibre N19 automatic chronograph movement, built on the reliable Sellita SW510a. With 27 jewels, a 62-hour power reserve, and a custom rotor, the movement is visible through the caseback – subtly printed with the watch’s mantra: “Enjoy Life.”
Buyers can choose between a white rubber strap with NORQAIN stitching or a brushed stainless-steel bracelet. Each watch arrives in a special-edition box with matching sunglasses – because, obviously, the sunshine life requires proper accessories.
The price? $5,050 on rubber or $5,190 on steel. Not exactly pocket change – a point raised by both fans and skeptics alike. But as NORQAIN sees it, you’re not just buying a watch. You’re buying a feeling. A vacation for your wrist. A pastel-colored rebellion against stress. Sure, you could get an ice cream cone instead… but how long will that last?
With this launch, NORQAIN kicked off a string of summer events, starting in Las Vegas with their retail partner Bucherer, and continuing with pool parties and surprises across the globe. If nothing else, the “Enjoy Life” Special Edition shows that not everything about Swiss watches has to be stoic. Sometimes, it’s okay for your luxury timepiece to smile back at you.
