Nothing Headphones (1) Leak Reveals Bold Design and $300 Price Tag

Nothing is gearing up to release its first over-ear headphones, dubbed Nothing Headphones (1), alongside the anticipated Nothing Phone (3) on July 1.

Leaks have already shown off the unconventional design, and now a new video leak gives us an even clearer look-though still unofficial.

The design stays true to Nothing’s bold visual identity, featuring transparent elements and a square-ish shape that’s already stirring debate online. The unusual form factor might not just be for looks-the added internal space could enhance audio performance and improve ANC by giving the drivers more room to “breathe.”

Nothing is also working with legendary British audio brand KEF to tune the Headphones (1). This collaboration hints at a serious focus on sound quality and positions these cans as more than just eye candy (or eyesores, depending on who you ask).

Physically, the headphones feature earcups that rotate 90° to lie flat, although the headband doesn’t fold. Instead of relying on touch controls, users get an assortment of physical buttons and sliders-some speculate these may not be reprogrammable, echoing Nothing’s usual minimalist design philosophy. A USB-C port is visible, and a 3.5mm jack might be included as well.

In terms of pricing, the Nothing Headphones (1) are expected to retail at $300 in the US and €300/£300 in Europe. They’ll be available in Canada too, marking a global release push.

While the design has polarized early viewers-with some calling it futuristic and others flat-out ugly-performance will ultimately decide if these headphones can take on competitors like Sony, Bose, and Sennheiser in this crowded space. Love it or hate it, Nothing is once again refusing to blend in.
