Nothing is gradually unveiling more details about its highly anticipated Phone (3), and the latest teaser highlights its upgraded camera system. In a post shared on X, the company confirmed that the upcoming phone will feature a 50MP periscope lens. The brief caption mentioned that the camera is “built for creators,” though Nothing didn’t reveal specific zoom features or technical specs.
Instead, it shared a series of photos reportedly captured using this lens, all presented in Nothing’s signature minimalist style.
We don’t yet have the complete picture of the Phone 3’s camera setup, but leaks suggest it may include three 50MP sensors: one for the main camera, one for ultrawide shots, and the new periscope lens. Today’s leak also brings us a glimpse of some of the phone’s expected specifications and design changes, thanks to unofficial CAD renders.
According to the leaked images, the Phone 3 could feature a redesigned camera layout, with the top lens shifted to the side while the other two lenses sit next to each other at the bottom. Rumors also point to a 6.7-inch OLED display and a sizable 5,150mAh battery, with 100W wired charging and 15W wireless charging capabilities. The device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a more affordable version of Qualcomm’s premium processors. Additionally, the Glyph interface is making a return, now sporting a fresh matrix-style design.
Nothing’s CEO, Carl Pei, recently confirmed that the Phone 3 will be priced around £800 (approximately $1,062), marking a higher price point than the Phone (2) and suggesting the brand’s move toward more premium offerings. The company has already announced that its next big event will take place on July 1 at 1 PM ET, where we expect a full reveal of the Phone 3, along with a new audio product, the Headphone 1.
This teaser is only fueling the excitement surrounding the Phone 3, especially for those passionate about mobile photography. It’s always intriguing when a brand experiments with its design and camera tech, and this new periscope lens could help Nothing stand out in a crowded market. The big question now is whether the final product will meet the high expectations.
