Nothing Phone (3) Leak Reveals Big Upgrades Ahead of Launch

The Leaked Specifications of the Nothing Phone (3): Big Upgrades, But Are They Enough?

As the Nothing Phone (3) launch draws closer on July 1, we’ve finally got a closer look at what the device will offer. While Nothing has teased a new LED effect replacing the Glyph interface, other details have remained scarce-until now. According to a recent leak from Gadget Bits, the Phone (3) will bring significant upgrades, despite relying on the non-flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.

The Phone (3) will feature a 6.7-inch OLED LTPO display, which seems to be staying the same size as its predecessor. The main camera system gets an exciting upgrade with a 50MP 3x zoom periscope camera, alongside the original 50MP main and ultrawide cameras. The front-facing camera also steps up to 50MP, a clear improvement from the previous 32MP sensor, with hopes of adding autofocus this time around.

Battery life also sees an improvement with a 5,150mAh cell, which, while larger than the 4,700mAh battery from the previous model, doesn’t come close to the 6,500mAh to 7,000mAh batteries found in some competitors. However, the real highlight in the battery department is the 100W fast charging, a significant leap from the earlier model’s charging speed. Additionally, wireless charging remains part of the package.

There’s also added support for eSIM, something that many users felt was lacking in the previous model. A blurred image of the back design offers a hint of the camera layout, but it remains to be seen how it will look in full.

With just a week to go before the launch, we can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and skepticism. While the Nothing Phone (3) has potential, the battery size and some design choices have left many fans questioning whether it can truly compete with other flagships in 2025.

Battery is fine, bigger battery only mean bulky and heavy phone. Many phones stay around 5000mAh just for those reasons

5150mAh is a big fail when others are already putting out 6500-7000 and more. More 100 years stuck to 5000mAh? Jeez!
