NVIDIA has launched a fresh GeForce Game Ready driver (version 576.88) to support the all-new RTX 5050 graphics cards. This driver is also optimized for the release of Mecha BREAK, the multiplayer mech-themed third-person hero shooter that is available today on PC and Xbox Series S|X. The game offers modes like 3v3, 6v6, and PvPvE, including a sneak peek at Mashmak, a loot-based PvPvE mode previewed by Kai Tatsumoto at a recent hands-on press event. The highlight of the game, according to Amazing Seasun Games, is the new extraction mode called Mashmak. In this intense mode, players drop onto a huge 16×16 km map, scavenge for resources, eliminate rival squads, and take on NPC bosses, all while trying to escape with as much loot as possible. Although the map is massive, the game limits each session to ten squads of three players, with NPCs filling the remaining spots. To encourage constant movement and prevent players from camping out in one corner, extraction points appear at the ten-minute mark, with new ones emerging every five minutes. Once an extraction point is used, it disappears for the remainder of the match. However, players must be cautious of enemy squads camping these extraction points. Adding to the challenge is the Corite Pulse Storm, which slowly shrinks the battlefield, disabling weapon lock-ons and constantly draining both mech health and fluid armor.
Mecha BREAK supports NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, and DLSS Super Resolution.
With DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation enabled, GeForce RTX 50 Series users can experience up to a 4.6x boost in frame rates while playing at 4K with maximum settings. The flagship GeForce RTX 5090 GPU offers an impressive average of 456 FPS, while even the more budget-friendly GeForce RTX 5070 pushes past 200 FPS.
Today also marks the release of Diablo IV: Seasons of Horadrim, the ninth season for the popular action RPG. This update introduces fresh features, new content, and the addition of DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. GeForce RTX 50 Series users no longer need to enable this feature manually via the NVIDIA app. In other news, The Chinese Room’s horror title, Still Wakes the Deep, has received its premium Siren’s Rest expansion. This free update, which launched last week, brings support for DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and an upgrade path for DLSS Super Resolution via the NVIDIA app override.
Finally, Hotta Studio’s upcoming online action RPG, NTE (Neverness to Everness), has confirmed it will support DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation in its upcoming Closed Beta. The beta starts Thursday and ends on July 16. NTE, powered by Unreal Engine 5, was originally announced in July 2024 as an open-world game that would include both NVIDIA DLSS and ray tracing support. While ray tracing wasn’t mentioned in the latest update, it may be added later.
