NVIDIA RTX 5050 Laptops to Launch Tomorrow in China: MECHREVO Announces Kuangshi X Edition

Chinese laptop manufacturers are gearing up to release their latest gaming laptops featuring the new NVIDIA RTX 5050 GPU. While NVIDIA has not officially confirmed the exact release date for the RTX 5050 series, one Chinese brand, MECHREVO, has already announced that its new gaming laptop will launch tomorrow.

The device will be the first to feature the GeForce RTX 5050 GPU, a mobile chip based on the GB207 architecture.

Although there have been no concrete reports on the launch dates for the desktop or laptop versions of the RTX 5050, previous leaks indicate that the desktop variant might arrive in July. MECHREVO’s announcement of the Kuangshi X Gaming laptop is significant as it marks the first confirmed release of an RTX 5050-powered laptop, scheduled for tomorrow. This could signal the start of a broader release for other brands, as several major retailers have already listed RTX 5050 laptops. However, it is still unclear whether these laptops will be available worldwide on the same day.

The GeForce RTX 5050, featuring the GB207 die, will be the most affordable option in NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series lineup. It packs 2560 CUDA cores and an 8 GB VRAM, with reports suggesting that the laptop version will be equipped with GDDR7 VRAM. Aimed at gamers on a budget, the RTX 5050 is expected to deliver smooth 1080p gaming performance, while supporting cutting-edge technologies like DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation. As the entry-level GPU in this series, it is anticipated that NVIDIA will introduce a “Super” version later this year, which may offer enhanced performance for demanding titles.
