Exciting news for OnePlus fans: The OnePlus 15 is rumored to launch in October, but it won’t be the only new device hitting the market. According to a fresh report from China, the OnePlus 15 will be unveiled alongside the OnePlus Ace 6, and possibly the Ace 6 Pro, marking a significant shift in the brand’s launch strategy. 
In 2024, OnePlus followed a different timeline, releasing the OnePlus 13 in October and the Ace 5 in December, so this joint launch is definitely a change of pace.
For those wondering about the OnePlus 15’s features, some key rumors have emerged. It’s said to feature a “1.5K” resolution screen, a downgrade from the typical 1440p or 4K displays we’ve come to expect from flagship models. Additionally, OnePlus is reportedly parting ways with Hasselblad for the camera collaboration on this model, which has been a staple for recent OnePlus phones. However, the OnePlus 15 may make up for these changes with the best battery life we’ve seen on a OnePlus flagship yet.
In terms of performance, the OnePlus 15 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC, which Qualcomm will officially announce in September. On the other hand, the Ace 6 is rumored to use a different chip, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 5 (or a similarly named version of it). The Ace 6 will reportedly be the first device to feature this new chip, which is considered a small step down from the 8 Elite 2 in terms of performance. While the OnePlus 15 could have a Pro variant coming later, possibly around December, for now, the focus is on these two devices making waves in October.
