OnePlus Pad 3 Launches with Snapdragon 8 Elite, Bigger Display and Killer Deals

The OnePlus Pad 3 is Here: Bigger, Bolder, and Surprisingly Smart

OnePlus has just dropped its most ambitious tablet yet – the OnePlus Pad 3 – and it’s not pulling any punches. With a massive 13.2-inch display, a flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (Elite Edition) chipset, and all the accessories you could want included for free (for now), OnePlus is taking the high-end tablet game seriously.

First impressions? This tablet is practically a laptop in disguise – and OnePlus is leaning into that hard. You can snag the higher 16GB/512GB config at the price of the base model (12GB/256GB) if you pre-order in Europe. And yes, that also comes with your choice of a Smart Keyboard or Folio Case included, plus a 10% student discount and trade-in deals.

The display is a 3.4K (2400x3392px) 12-bit IPS LCD with Dolby Vision HDR support, 900 nits peak brightness, and stylus input. While it’s not OLED, it’s among the best LCDs on the market – vivid, crisp, and burn-in-free. That decision may disappoint OLED purists, but it’s a practical choice for long-term durability and brightness.

Inside, you’ll find up to 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and improved cooling with a heat dissipation area 14% larger than the last-gen Pad. There’s a hefty 12,140mAh battery paired with 80W SuperVOOC charging – a serious upgrade from the previous Pad’s already solid performance.

Audio lovers will appreciate the new 8-speaker setup (up from 6), promising immersive stereo performance for movies, games, and multitasking. And speaking of multitasking – this is where the device shows its ambition. With OnePlus AI (powered by Google Gemini), the Pad 3 supports live translation, document summarizing, note drafting, and Circle to Search (sadly, not available on the Pad 2 yet – and yes, users are asking for that).

There’s also Seamless Connectivity with OnePlus phones and even drag-and-drop compatibility with Macs, a move clearly aimed at pros and creatives who need a secondary screen or mobile workstation.

Accessories include the new Stylo 2 with 16,000 pressure levels, ultra-low latency, haptic feedback, and a laser pointer. The Smart Keyboard has a full function row, NFC support, and a large trackpad – all pushing this tablet closer to a true laptop replacement.

The only major gripe from early feedback? The lack of Android 16’s native desktop mode at launch. This big-screen beauty would’ve shined even more with it. Let’s hope OnePlus delivers the update quickly – especially for power users looking for a full productivity setup.

Still, at €599 with bonuses, this is one of the most aggressively priced premium tablets we’ve seen in Europe and North America. It ships July 2 – but don’t be surprised if stock runs dry fast.
