Oppo Find X9 Pro’s Telephoto Camera Unveiled: A Game-Changer or a Cost-Cutting Measure?

The Oppo Find X9 Pro’s camera system is undergoing a significant shift from its predecessor, the Find X8 Pro. While the previous model sported two telephoto lenses, the new flagship will switch to a single, more powerful 200 MP telephoto sensor. According to the latest rumors circulating from China, the telephoto sensor will not be the widely used Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor. Instead, Oppo will use a new sensor, the Samsung ISOCELL HP5.

This sensor, measuring 1/1.56 inches, is smaller than the HP9 but still promises impressive performance.

At 10x zoom, the quality of shots is expected to be excellent, though the source suggests that beyond this zoom level, the performance may begin to degrade. The rumor also mentions that the single periscope telephoto sensor may not quite measure up to the dual periscope setup of the Find X8 Pro. Despite this, the Find X9 Pro will feature a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultrawide lens, maintaining the high standards of previous models.

The Find X9 Pro is also expected to be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC, ensuring top-tier performance in both everyday use and intensive tasks.
