Oppo is gearing up for the big reveal of its K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro smartphones on July 21, and ahead of the launch, it’s teasing one of their coolest features-literally. A new promo video showcases the phones’ built-in active cooling fan in action, and it’s not just for show. 
The fan is powerful enough to blow out candles, hinting at serious heat management capabilities.
According to Oppo, the innovative fan design improves cooling efficiency by a staggering 300% compared to traditional smartphone cooling systems. It also manages to cut down on space usage by 70% while boosting fan power by 120%. That’s some impressive engineering packed into a sleek smartphone form factor.
The main goal? Delivering ultra-smooth gaming performance without thermal throttling. Oppo’s K series product manager, Wei Wei, claims the phones can maintain an average of 120.36fps in Honor of Kings and 119.76fps in Game for Peace-both with remarkable frame stability when the fan is on.
Gamers looking for even more chill can opt for the Super Cooling Set. This optional accessory includes a magnetic case that lets you attach an external fan for added cooling power during intense gaming sessions.
And despite housing an internal fan, both the K13 Turbo and Turbo Pro are IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water-resistant-a rare feat that makes these devices as durable as they are powerful. Oppo is clearly pulling out all the stops to make these gaming phones a standout in the mid-range segment.
