Panerai has extended its partnership with the Luna Rossa sailing team, setting the stage for a new wave of exclusive timepieces. With the 38th America’s Cup slated for 2027 in Naples, Italy, Panerai celebrates this collaboration by releasing two new models: the Luminor Luna Rossa PAM01653 and the Luminor Chrono Flyback Luna Rossa PAM01654.
These models reflect the deep connection between Panerai and the Luna Rossa team, which has been ongoing since 2019.
The Luminor Luna Rossa PAM01653 is a classic timepiece with a 44mm case made from AISI 316LVM – 1.4441 stainless steel, ensuring enhanced corrosion resistance. The watch features a simple time-only layout, with a sub-dial at 3 o’clock to track running seconds. The color palette is inspired by Luna Rossa’s team livery, featuring a striking gray dial with a red seconds hand, while the strap is a bi-material design with a gray outer surface and a red stripe. It’s priced at $6,900 USD and will be available as a standard catalog model.
Meanwhile, the Luminor Chrono Flyback Luna Rossa PAM01654 offers a more dynamic take, with a flyback chronograph complication and a limited edition of only 150 pieces
. Its 44mm titanium case is complemented by a sapphire display caseback to showcase the Caliber P.9100 automatic movement. This model also follows the Luna Rossa color scheme, with red chronograph hands standing out against a gray dial. It’s priced at $16,400 USD, making it slightly more affordable than other Panerai flyback chronographs.
Both watches are a nod to the brand’s deep connection with the sailing world, but they also bring a new perspective to Panerai’s catalog, adding sporty appeal to their lineup.
With their water-resistant designs and functional chronograph features, these models are perfect for those who appreciate both performance and style.
Despite the brand’s continued success with the Luna Rossa partnership, Panerai’s decision to focus on sportier, simpler designs seems to resonate well with many collectors, and these two new releases continue that trend.

I really like the look of these models, especially the color scheme! But, I wouldn’t pay that much for a watch. 😬
These are pretty cool! A Panerai for less than 7k? That’s a deal compared to the other models
