Pebble Halo Smart Ring: Affordable Wearable Tech with a Digital Display

Pebble, an Indian smart wearables brand, has unveiled its first smart ring: the Pebble Halo Smart Ring. This sleek accessory is designed for those who want their tech to blend effortlessly with their personal style, offering a modern look at an affordable price.

Priced at INR7,999 (approximately $95), it’s available for a special launch price of INR3,999 (around $45) if pre-ordered via Pebble’s website.

The standout feature of the Pebble Halo Smart Ring is its active digital display, which shows essential information such as the time, battery status, and health-related data. With a built-in heart rate monitor, step counter, blood oxygen measurement, and stress and sleep tracking (including REM sleep support), it covers all the basics you’d expect from a fitness tracker. Although Pebble hasn’t shared specifics, the ring supports multiple sports modes as well.

Another unique feature is the gesture control, allowing users to interact with their phone by swiping through e-books, controlling music, and playing games. There’s also a chant counter, making it useful for fitness enthusiasts or anyone needing to track repetitive activities.

The ring’s battery life, however, might not impress everyone. Pebble claims it lasts between 3-4 days, which is notably shorter than most smart rings on the market. The display likely contributes to the faster drain, but on the plus side, it only takes about two hours to fully charge.

As for the design, the Pebble Halo Smart Ring is made of stainless steel, which offers a durable and premium feel. It’s water and dust-resistant, though prolonged exposure to water should be avoided. The ring is available in black, silver, and gold, and it comes in six different sizes ranging from 7 to 12. It connects via Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring smooth communication with your smartphone. Despite its features, the ring weighs 190 grams, which some users may find on the heavier side.

The Pebble Halo Smart Ring is launching on July 4th, available for purchase on Pebble’s official website and Flipkart.
