Another wave of leaks has arrived, giving us a closer look at Google’s upcoming hardware lineup – and it’s all dressed in a sleek new Moonstone color. Promo images for the Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a are now making the rounds online, showcasing a coordinated grayish hue that’s both muted and modern.
This Moonstone finish looks set to become the signature color for the Pixel 10 series, much like past hero colors we’ve seen.
It’s subtly different from just ‘gray’ – with some depth and elegance that ties the ecosystem together nicely. While the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL wear the Moonstone proudly, the regular Pixel 10 curiously misses out on this aesthetic unity – at least for now.
Interestingly, previous leaks already showed the Pixel 10 Pro Fold also in Moonstone, reinforcing the idea that Google wants a clean, consistent visual identity across its higher-end devices. But the base Pixel 10 being left out of this color scheme feels like an odd decision – unless Google’s holding back a surprise.
Specs-wise, the Pixel 10 brings some puzzling choices. It reportedly gains a telephoto lens – a feature long reserved for the Pro – yet downgrades the other two rear sensors. This seems like a deliberate move to keep it from stepping on the Pro’s toes, despite the similar camera configuration on paper.
Design-wise, there’s not much to scream about. The devices largely retain last year’s aesthetics. It’s becoming increasingly clear that Google, like others, is refining rather than reinventing. That’s not necessarily a bad thing – most brands are in the same boat. Whether it’s Apple, Samsung, or the big players from China, everyone seems to be waiting for the next ‘big shift’… maybe in 2027 when Apple drops the iPhone 18 and resets the design game again.
The Pixel 10 lineup is set to be officially unveiled on August 20. Until then, expect more leaks, more debates, and maybe even that Moonstone Pixel 10 everyone’s hoping for.
