It looks like the upcoming Pixel 10 series might be a bit heftier than previous models. According to a fresh leak, all four phones in the Pixel 10 lineup – the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold – may see a slight weight increase this year.
The leak, which includes the full dimensions and potential weights of these devices, suggests that while the phones’ dimensions remain mostly the same, a few subtle changes could affect case compatibility.
The leaked figures, shared by Android Headlines, show the potential sizes and weights of the four Pixel 10 models. Here are the details:
- Pixel 10 – 152.8 x 72.0 x 8.6 mm, 204g
- Pixel 10 Pro – 152.8 x 72.0 x 8.6 mm, 207g
- Pixel 10 Pro XL – 162.8 x 76.6 x 8.5 mm, 232g
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold (unfolded) – 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.2 mm, 258g
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold (folded) – 155.2 x 76.3 x 10.8 mm, 258g
If you’re familiar with the Pixel 9 series dimensions, you’ll notice that the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro are keeping their width and height the same as last year. However, they could be just slightly thicker by 0.1 mm and about 6 to 8 grams heavier. While that might not seem like much, it could make a difference when it comes to the overall feel in hand.
The Pixel 10 Pro XL is mostly unchanged in size compared to its predecessor, but the weight increase is a bit more notable, with an additional 11 grams, which represents a 5% increase. It might not sound like a lot, but it could be noticeable when you’re holding the phone.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, on the other hand, is a bit of an anomaly. While foldable phones tend to get thinner, Google has gone in the opposite direction. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is 0.1 mm thicker when unfolded and 0.3 mm thicker when folded compared to the previous model, going against the trend set by devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Interestingly, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold only gains 1 gram in weight, which likely won’t be felt in everyday use.
Although Google hasn’t confirmed these dimensions yet, they align with expectations and don’t hint at any major design or structural changes for the Pixel 10 series. We’ll know all the details once Google unveils the phones at their upcoming August 20 ‘Made by Google’ event.
