Realme GT 7 Redefines Battery Life: Outpaces Rivals with a 7,000mAh Powerhouse

The Realme GT 7 has officially staked its claim as the new battery life king, outperforming every other phone in our updated endurance rankings.
Realme GT 7 Redefines Battery Life: Outpaces Rivals with a 7,000mAh Powerhouse
Announced recently at a global event in Paris, this powerhouse impresses with a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery – slightly smaller than the 7,200mAh Chinese version, yet still unrivaled in performance.

Under our intensive lab conditions, the GT 7 delivered:

  • 30:58 hours of voice calls
  • 21:37 hours of web browsing
  • 26:13 hours of video playback
  • 12:48 hours of gaming

These results translate to a market-leading Active Use Score of 21:06 hours, a new high in our rankings. It’s ahead of both the iPhone 16 Plus (18:49 hours) and iQOO 13 (18:03 hours), while even the Realme GT 7 Pro – with a 6,500mAh battery – trails behind at 17:31 hours.

This performance isn’t just about battery size. Realme’s success here showcases aggressive system-level optimization, similar to what brands like Apple and Samsung are known for. The GT 7 utilizes intelligent throttling and power-saving adjustments that don’t dramatically compromise the user experience – a feat often criticized in other phones with aggressive thermal management.

Driving this endurance is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e SoC, paired with a 6.78-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display and blazing-fast 120W charging. The phone doesn’t just last long – it gets back on its feet rapidly, charging faster than many competitors with smaller batteries.

There are concerns, of course. Some users pointed out that the talk time could be better considering the size of the battery. Others missed the inclusion of standby performance in modern battery tests, as idle drain can matter just as much in real-world use.

Still, most agree: Realme has finally delivered a phone that puts battery endurance front and center. And with its pricing being competitive (starting from €649.99 for 12GB + 256GB), the GT 7 represents a serious value proposition in the flagship space.

Battery life isn’t the only story – but for once, it’s rightfully taking center stage.

Gaming and video time is 🔥 but call time kinda mid for a 7000mAh beast. Still tho, impressive

The GT7T with Dimensity 8400+ might be the real underdog here. Hope it gets tested soon!

Wish they included standby time in the test tho… If it eats 5% per hour doing nothing, it still sucks in daily life
