RedMagic 10S Pro Unboxing & Hands-On: Gaming Powerhouse with Jet Engine Ambitions
Say hello to the RedMagic 10S Pro – a phone that doesn’t just look like a gaming rig, it performs like one. With its monstrous 6.85-inch 144Hz display, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC clocked at 4.47GHz, and an insane 24GB of RAM, this beast is built to impress. Oh, and did we mention the built-in cooling fan and RGB galore?
We got our hands on the Dusk variant, loaded with 512GB of storage (but yes, there’s a 1TB option)
. In the box: an 80W fast charger, red USB-C cable, and a transparent protective case that lets the RGB shine through.
The aesthetics? Pure RedMagic DNA – semi-transparent black rear, minimal bezels, and glowing light zones: the RedMagic logo, X logo, and the fan (yes, it lights up too).
The display takes up 95.3% of the front, and it’s crafted by BOE, offering ultra-smooth visuals perfect for gaming or binge-watching.
The form is rugged and gamer-chic, with flat glass on both sides and a robust metal frame. On the right: volume rocker, circular power button, and the customizable MagicKey that defaults to Game Space launch but can be reassigned.
Front camera? A 16MP under-display shooter that’s invisible when inactive. Neat trick. As for cooling, that internal fan has high and low settings – noticeable on high but surprisingly discreet. Twin side vents manage airflow smartly.
Gamers will love tinkering with the LED lighting settings. But it’s not just flashy – the RedMagic 10S Pro means business. The combo of the Snapdragon 8 Elite and RedCore R3 Pro chip brings serious power: a 40% faster NPU, real-time upscaling to 120fps, and ultra-low-latency touch control. For reference, the touch sampling rate hits 2,500Hz for single touch, and 960Hz for multi-touch. Unreal.
For cooling, the phone uses 36mm² of liquid metal directly on the chip – a nod to PC-level performance management. Shoulder triggers with 520Hz polling rate seal the deal for competitive gaming.
Stay tuned – we’ll return soon with benchmarks and gameplay results. But for now, know this: the RedMagic 10S Pro isn’t playing around. It is the game.
