Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil its latest budget-friendly device, the Redmi 15C, just as images of the phone leak ahead of its official release. This follows the launch of its predecessor, the Redmi 14C, back in August 2024, and it looks like the company is pushing forward with a fitting successor.
According to the latest leak, the Redmi 15C will come in four color options: Moonlight Blue, Twilight Orange, Midnight Black, and an intriguing green variant.
Inside, the phone will offer 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. These specs might sound a bit underwhelming by today’s standards, especially as we head further into 2025, but they could still cater to users looking for a reliable entry-level device. The back of the phone will feature a quirky handwritten-style text to identify the model, adding a personal touch to the design.
As for certification, the Redmi 15C has already passed the NBTC certification in Thailand with the model number 25078RA3EA. Interestingly, a twin model – the Poco C85 – has also been certified, bearing a very similar model number, 25078PC3EG. This suggests that both devices could be virtually identical, with minor cosmetic differences setting them apart.
Both the Redmi 15C and the Poco C85 will be limited to 4G connectivity, which might disappoint users expecting 5G support. However, the phones do pack some noteworthy features, including a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD screen with a waterdrop notch and a large 6,000 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging. According to an earlier FCC certification, the device will run on Android 15 and will feature Xiaomi’s custom HyperOS interface on top.
While the model numbers start with “2507,” which implies a release this month, Xiaomi’s track record shows that launch dates can often shift. Still, the arrival of these devices seems imminent, so keep an eye out for official announcements soon!
