The Redmi K Pad is set to launch soon in China as the brand’s first compact tablet, and it’s generating quite a bit of buzz with some recently leaked specifications.

According to the new information, the Redmi K Pad will feature a sharp 8.8-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800px, which is considered “3K.” The screen will support a smooth 165Hz refresh rate, providing fluid visuals, and will have a 16:10 aspect ratio that is ideal for multimedia and productivity. The tablet will measure just 6.4mm thick, making it quite slim, and will weigh around 326 grams.
Under the hood, the K Pad is equipped with a powerful 7,500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, meaning you’ll be able to juice it up quickly for extended use. The device will also run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset, offering solid performance for various tasks. The expected retail price is around CNY 4,000 (approximately $557), although it may be priced lower depending on market conditions in China.
