Redmi Note 14 Pro vs Pro+: Which Mid-Range King Should You Choose?

Redmi Note 14 Pro vs. Pro+: Which Mid-Range King Should You Choose?

Choosing between the Redmi Note 14 Pro and the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ (both global models) isn’t easy. On the surface, they look nearly identical – from their 6.67-inch AMOLED displays to their 200MP cameras – but under the hood, the differences start to matter, especially for those torn between saving €50 or spending it for a few extra perks.

Design & Build

Both phones are almost the same size, but the Pro+ is slightly bulkier and heavier due to its more premium glass back (in some variants). The Pro sticks with a plastic back, making it lighter but less fancy. If feel-in-hand matters, the Pro+ edges forward – but it’s not night and day.

Display

Surprise – they’re identical. Both rock a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel, 120Hz refresh rate, and hit just over 1,100 nits of brightness. You won’t notice a difference unless you’re reading spec sheets for fun.

Battery Life

Same 5,110mAh battery, different efficiency. The standard Note 14 Pro squeezes out slightly more juice thanks to its Dimensity 7300 Ultra chip. Expect about an hour more screen time in real-world usage – a small win for the cheaper model.

Charging

This is where the Pro+ crushes it. With 120W fast charging, you go from 0 to 100% in just 21 minutes. The Pro, limited to 45W, takes over an hour. If you’re always in a rush, this might be the Pro+’s biggest selling point.

Performance

The Pro+ runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, while the Pro uses the Dimensity 7300 Ultra. Benchmarks show up to 24% better GPU performance on the Pro+, which could matter for gaming. However, the Dimensity chip is more power-efficient – so again, a tradeoff.

Cameras

On paper, both use the same 200MP main + 8MP ultrawide + 2MP macro rear setup and a 20MP selfie cam. But in practice? The Pro delivers slightly warmer, more pleasing photos and better dynamic range. The Pro+ gives you cleaner 1x shots and better low-light shadows, but its overall rendering is cooler and sometimes less natural. For casual users, the differences might be invisible, but camera nerds may spot them.

Video

Video output is close – but the standard Pro again shows better exposure and detail, especially on the ultrawide lens. If video matters to you, this is a quiet win for the cheaper model.

Speakers

No meaningful differences. Both have decent stereo speakers with “Good” volume. Nothing groundbreaking, but not disappointing either.

Verdict

The Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+ are nearly twins. The Pro+ gives you faster charging, better GPU performance, and a more premium build. But the standard Pro delivers better battery life, slightly better overall camera output, and the same display and audio – for less money.

If you’re gaming a lot or charging frequently, the Pro+ is worth the bump. But if you want great value, long battery, and reliable performance, the regular Redmi Note 14 Pro is the smarter buy.
