The GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5080 Founders Edition are currently the only two RTX 50 series Founders Edition (FE) GPUs available in China. However, these cards are in such limited supply that they’re creating massive demand among gamers. 
While the RTX 50 series as a whole is performing better than ever, with stable availability and solid sales across platforms like Amazon and the Steam Hardware Survey, China is seeing much more constrained stock of these exclusive FE models.
Unlike other graphics cards that are available across a variety of vendors, the RTX 5070 FE and RTX 5080 FE are only available on JD.com, one of China’s largest online marketplaces. To make things more exciting, gamers were given the chance to purchase these GPUs at the Bilibili World event 2025, where they were sold at the NVIDIA booth. But getting one wasn’t as simple as walking up to the counter. Huge queues formed, with excited gamers lining up for hours to get their hands on one of these limited-edition graphics cards. Almost all were carrying large green bags, emblazoned with the GPU name, likely handed out at the ticket counter before joining the line.
However, even after these events, it’s still incredibly difficult to get your hands on these Founders Edition cards. While they may pop up on JD.com, they’re out of stock most of the time. The fact that gamers are willing to wait for hours in long queues to get a Founders Edition card, despite the availability of more powerful custom models from other vendors, shows just how highly sought after these FE cards are in China. For many, the wait is worth it, even if they have to endure a significant wait for these premium cards to be restocked.
With all the hype around these GPUs, one thing is clear: Founders Editions are far from just another graphics card. They’ve become a symbol of exclusivity, making their limited supply even more enticing to gamers across the country.
