Samsung Chairman Upset Over Mobile Division’s Apple Design Copying

Samsung Unveils Controversial Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Buds3

Samsung recently introduced its latest products, including the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds3, and Galaxy Buds3 Pro at an Unpacked event, sparking controversy due to similarities in design with Apple’s products.

The unveiled Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Buds3 have drawn attention for their resemblance to Apple’s Watch Ultra, AirPods 3, and AirPods Pro 2, leading to concerns about copycat behavior within Samsung’s mobile division.

Notably, Samsung’s Executive Chairman Jay Y. Lee reportedly intervened following the controversy, indicating a shift in plans to prevent future design plagiarism issues. The Chairman, known for his gentle demeanor, expressed dissatisfaction with the situation.

The Galaxy Buds3 feature a departure from Samsung’s previous designs with stems, reminiscent of Apple’s AirPods, while also facing quality control problems, such as reports of issues with silicone ear tips.

Overall, the unveiling of these products has stirred criticism and internal tension within Samsung, emphasizing the need for originality in design and product development.
