Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 7 update to its budget-friendly Galaxy A06 4G, continuing its Android 15-based upgrade push even as its flagship models test the newer One UI 8 beta based on Android 16.
This latest firmware update, labeled A065FXXU4BYF6, weighs in at around 3GB and includes both UI improvements and the May 2025 Android security patch.
The One UI 7 update gives the Galaxy A06 4G a subtle visual refresh, smoother animations, and minor tweaks to accessibility and usability. However, despite these enhancements, some users feel the changes don’t make a significant difference given the device’s dated hardware. The Galaxy A06 4G-released with modest specs like 4GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB storage-was already seen by critics as underwhelming even at launch.
The update is currently rolling out in select Asian markets including the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Users can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update on their phones.
While One UI 7 breathes some life into Samsung’s most affordable lineup, the real-world benefit might not be enough to change public perception. For now, it’s more of a maintenance patch for those who already own the device, rather than a reason to consider buying it new.
