Samsung is preparing a fresh wave of entry-level smartphones with the Galaxy A07, F07, and M07. These successors to the A06 series have just passed BIS certification in India, hinting at their eventual release, likely still a few months away.
Based on the certification, all three appear to be 4G-only models, a move that keeps them affordable but may disappoint users expecting 5G as a baseline in 2025.
Specs remain under wraps for now, but judging by the Galaxy A06 4G, we can anticipate modest updates at best. The A06 featured a 6.7-inch 720×1600 LCD, powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chip, with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. Its camera setup included a 50 MP main shooter, a 2 MP depth sensor, and an 8 MP front cam. A 5,000 mAh battery with 25W wired charging rounded things out.
If Samsung sticks to a similar formula, the new models might simply swap in updated chipsets or tweak design elements while keeping the same core specs. That said, these phones remain highly competitive in the ultra-budget segment, especially in markets like India where affordability and battery life are still major priorities.
Still, it’s an odd moment when even these budget models come with a 5,000 mAh battery-matching the capacity found in Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra. While specs aren’t everything, this does raise eyebrows about how little things are evolving on the battery front across price tiers.
With the A06 arriving last August and the 5G version landing in February, the timeline suggests the A07 and its siblings may launch closer to late summer or early fall. If you’re eyeing a cheap Samsung phone with dependable basics and great battery, the A07 series might be worth the wait-but don’t expect fireworks.
